I am a Research Associate in Political Theory at the University of Montenegro’s Institute for Advanced Studies, and doctoral candidate in Political Science at the Ludwig-Maximilian-Universität München. My research interests lie at an intersection of political philosophy, political sociology and the history of ideas, and the topics I am passionate about include radicalism, populism, the far right, post-structuralist discourse theory and critical European Studies.
I have written a dissertation titled “The Pseudo-Radical Revolt”, in which I employ select aspects of Nietzsche’s genealogical account of morality – crucially, his notion of ressentiment – to theorise the rise of contemporary right-wing populism in Europe and North America. Methodologically anchored at the intersection of political theory and intellectual history, my project seeks to develop an understanding of post-Cold War populist politics as an expression of a kind of ‘politics of ressentiment‘, emerging against the ever-evolving backdrop of a hegemonic ‘progressive-neoliberal’ paradigm.
Before coming to LMU München, I have completed a BA and an MA in Philosophy at KU Leuven, as well as an MSc in Political Theory at the London School of Economics and Political Science (a detailed CV is available here). My theses and other works can be found on ResearchGate and Academia.edu.
