I am a Research Associate in Political Theory at the University of Montenegro’s Institute for Advanced Studies, and have recently defended my doctorate in Political Science at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. My research interests lie at an intersection of political philosophy, social and political theory and the history of ideas, and the topics I am passionate about include radicalism, populism, the far right, post-structuralist discourse theory and critical European Studies.

My doctoral dissertation, The Pseudo-Radical Revolt, examines how radical the contemporary populist radical right in Europe and North America really is. Drawing on political theory and post-structuralist discourse analysis, I argue that these actors are best understood as pseudo-radical: they perform rupture and anti-establishment revolt at the level of rhetoric and style, while offering little in the way of a genuinely radical project of systemic transformation. The dissertation interprets this discrepancy between style and substance as a key to understanding both the contemporary populist right and the wider appeal of symbolic forms of revolt under late-capitalist conditions.
